Cherish the Moments

Today we memorialize my grandfather. My family and I have decided to put the FUN in funeral. Clearly that is not meant to be disrespectful. Instead, it is our intention to send Gramps off with a bang, to celebrate his life.

We can always remember loved ones who have passed through our fondest memories of them. We should also always feel a strong connection with them through our love. So if someone you love passes, remember them with laughter and good times.

At the same time, I would like to remind you to please cherish those around you. My grandfather was not in good health for the last 15 years of his life, but he always bounced back from any illnesses. I assumed he was too strong-willed to die right now. But he passed, just as time passes.

It is so important to relish the moments with your loved ones, friends. Anyone of us could be taken at any time. Every day is a gift. The present is a present. Cherish the present.

There’s only now
There’s only here
Give in to love
Or live in fear
No other path
No other way
No day but today!

-Lyrics from “No Day But Today”

With Love,

~Amber
