Open your Mind, Open your Heart, and Empower Yourself!
Current Teaching Schedule
I just recently moved to my hometown of Richmond, VA from Baltimore, MD. I am in the process of finding classes. Find me on the social media page of your choice and I will update you on my teaching schedule.
I have completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training through Charm City Yoga, and I am currently in the process of obtaining a 500-hour certification (to be completed December 2012). In November 2012, I will take a training through the Veterans Yoga Project to allow me the opportunity to volunteer teach yoga to veterans, especially those with PTSD.
I am extremely passionate in the belief that you have the power to change your life; it’s a matter of choice. Happiness and empowerment are both choices you can make to improve your life.
My teaching philosophy is two-fold. First, why do anything in life unless you are going to have fun? I incorporate laughter and smiles in every class. Second, punishing the body is not an effective tool to promote health or positive change. I believe yoga should be challenging and relaxing, not punishing and stressful. Students leave my class feeling invigorated, entertained, and empowered.
I teach Beginners Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Hot Vinyasa, YogaCORE, Power Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Mat Pilates, all with a great deal of attention paid to proper alignment. Safety is the number one priority in my classroom.
Here are some testimonials some of my students shared with me:
